Staff Accountant
Job Duties: Perform accounting, tax, and consulting services in a public accounting firm. The duties include:
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare month-end and annual financial reports, including analysis of assets, liabilities, and capital, and preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected financial position; Advise firm clients on financial and budgeting matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts; Analyze data gathered to evaluate effectiveness of budget controls and determine accuracy of financial reports and efficiency and security of business operations; Assist clients in establishing, modifying and coordinating implementation of accounting control procedures; Review items in client books to determine if generally accepted accounting principles were followed in recording transactions; Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, and non-profit organizations.
Requirements:
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with Accounting/Finance concentration.
